Juniors / teenagers - We welcome and support all our older juniors to transition into adult club sessions and teams. From the age of 13+ we invite juniors with appropriate standard and interest levels to either play in the organised club sessions including the club rusties/drills and also opportunities to play in teams. Our aim is to encourage their continued interest and participation in tennis and recognise that junior club sessions may not match their needs.
To become a member please fill out our membership form and return it to the office.
For all enquiries or to book a visit please email the office.

Club activities
Our adult organised club sessions are included as part of your membership and are at the heart of the club, with over 15 hours of organised doubles play available each week indoor and outdoor.
Our organised club sessions allow you to simply turn up with your racket and get mixed into doubles play for 30 minutes on the hour & half hour. We also host 15 internal social competitions, giving you the chance to take part in some friendly yet competitive tennis. Click below for details.

If you’re new to tennis or would like to improve your skills with similar level players, then you’ll find a warm welcome at Halton. The perfect way to start is with a Rusty Rackets session – it’ll help you get more out of your game.
Cardio tennis is suitable for everyone of all standards, and it’s included as a Club session within your membership. It’s lots of fun! Look at this intro video from the LTA to see why it’s so popular.
Run by our coaching team, it’s a really fun, inclusive session. No booking needed, just lots of enthusiasm and a smile – so come along and try a session (or as much as you can manage) – everyone welcome!

Tournaments
The highlight of our annual tennis calendar is undoubtedly the Club Festival of Tennis & Club Championships, held during the summer. It culminates in a long weekend in early September with the final rounds and a big party. There are events for everyone and our Director of Tennis ensures every player gets to play in as many matches as possible. Throughout the year we also host a number of pop-up events with a selection of fun competitions run at weekends or holiday times by coaches or senior club members.
There is a consistent emphasis on competition, and most of our social events include this element. We have a number of other tournaments throughout the year to keep you playing and these include:
- Adult & Child Tournaments
- Pro-Ams and charity fundraisers
- T-Cup (mixed doubles)
- Start of Summer Season Tournament
- Chairman’s Cup (mixed doubles)
- Rusty Rackets – Autumn, Summer & Winter
- End of Summer Season Tournament
- Sunday Summer Members Team Cup
Box leagues
“Box leagues have revolutionised our members’ matchplay – as a result our teams in the leagues are far stronger and the players more competitive.” Mike James, Director of Tennis
Started in 2011, the box leagues have brought a completely new dimension to traditional club tennis and have really caught the imagination of many members who want more competitive tennis. It’s also had an added benefit for members to meet others that they perhaps wouldn’t normally come across in club sessions.
We run singles and doubles box league matches (similar to ladders) all year round for all members who want additional fun and competitive tennis in a relaxed club environment. Join more than 140 players who take part in our box leagues. There are currently 10 singles boxes with some 50 members playing every month so lots of opportunities to meet and play singles.
