What better way to fast track your improvement than with a one-on-one coaching session – an hour just for you to develop those areas of your game most important to you.

All of our coaches are available to deliver lessons to members or non-members; you can go it alone or you may wish to organise a  small group or play with a friend to share the cost. Either way you will enjoy a tailored session with an LTA licenced coach best suited to your requirements.

I learned to play tennis on a court built by my Father in Langata, just outside Nairobi in Kenya, and there began a love affair with the sport that was further ignited on the hard courts of Tucson, Arizona where I played High School and Division 1 College tennis (at The University of Arizona, studying History and English) and continues today in my role as Director of Tennis for Halton Tennis Centre and founder of it's coaching brand and provider Everyball Tennis.

30 plus years working in British Tennis has seen me work as a County Performance Officer for Bucks and Herts, National Performance Officer for Scotland, travel extensively across Europe and work with a number of top national and internationally ranked junior players, several going on to professional careers, either as players or coaches.

I am currently a lead tutor on the LTA's Level 4 Senior Performance Coach Qualification, as well as holding the following certifications/qualifications:

  • Foundation certificate in Mentoring and Coaching Skills (LTA/Catalyst14) 2019
  • NLP Sport Psychology practitioner - Inside Performance 2012
  • Heartmath Sport Coach - Beyond the Barriers 2011

As a 'performance coach/consultant' away from the tennis court, I have worked with teams from organisations such as Lane 4, The Mediaport, The Youth Sport Trust and the Senior Leadership team of Aylesbury Grammar School, as well as a number of athletes and teams from football, swimming, basketball and cricket.

I flat out love coaching, helping individuals and teams understand where they are, where they'd like to be (and even who they'd like to become), and bridging the gap!

I first started playing tennis at the age of 8 in Cornwall and I have been hooked ever since! As a junior I loved travelling all over the country playing competitively. Some of my best achievements include winning several grade 3 events and playing in the national championships, reaching a UK junior Ranking of 12. I have represented Cornwall from under 10 through to senior level and continue to do so today! At the age of 18 I moved to Louisiana in the United States to play Division 1 Tennis for 4 years, which was a fantastic experience and has helped me a lot since I have began coaching. I still love the challenge of competing and try to get on court as much as I can!

I began coaching in 2014 in Cornwall with TDA Tennis, where my role varied between working with Performance Players and being head coach of a club in St Austell, where I worked with people of all ages and playing experience. It was a great experience and I learned a lot. During this time I gained my level 3 coaching qualification.

I am very honoured to be given the opportunity to be part of the coaching team at Everyball Tennis. I have a huge passion for tennis and I am extremely excited to share my energy and enthusiasm for the game with everyone in the Everyball programme!

I was introduced to tennis age 7 by a coach from my local tennis club in Chichester West Sussex. The coach was running a taster session at my primary school and I enjoyed the experience enough to spend the next week badgering my parents to take me along to a session at the club. My persistence paid off and the next week I went along to a Saturday morning pay and play session. The enthusiasm I had for the game after that first session grew in the following months and before long I was competing in tournaments on a frequent basis.

I had many ups and downs throughout my junior competition years, but fortunately I had enough success that it enabled me to play for my home county at every age group, regularly attend both regional and national training camps and play competitive tennis all over the UK. As a senior I have continued to represent Sussex whenever possible, and have been a frequent competitor on the British Tour circuit. Despite the fact I am no longer competing on a regular basis, I do still enjoy playing the game when I can and also aspire to engage in multiple sports competitively for as long as I am able to do so.

During my college years I had the opportunity to be a part of the LTA AASE scheme at Brighton Health and Rackets Club, which I completed in 2011. During this time I accomplished both my LTA level 1 & 2 coaching qualifications and begun assisting with sessions on weekends and school holidays. This peaked my interest in more coaching, so following this period I immediately went on to complete my LTA Level 3 in 2012. I then decided to start coaching full time at the same club in Chichester where I had first picked up a racket. This gave me an excellent platform to gain experience as a coach. I was able to assist many different players from toddlers at the start of their journey, to competitive teenage athletes, to veterans of the game at 65+. Every one of them helped me learn and develop as a coach and person.

Completing my Level 4 SCC in 2016 and joining the Everyball team at Halton in 2017, has been a big step forwards and I am excited for the new challenges and experiences that lay ahead. I especially look forward to playing my part in helping Halton continue to play a leading role in British tennis. I am grateful to have the opportunity to help people get closer to achieving their goals in tennis everyday and I aim to continually improve my capabilities as a coach and character as a person, so that those goals are more likely to be achieved for both myself and my players.

I've been coaching for 7 years, working with all ages and abilities. From toddlers, once-a-weekers (people using the game to keep fit, to team players and every colour ball and junior players), performance players competing at ITF and brit tours. I am also currently the under-14 girls county coach for Bucks and have been doing this role for the 3 years.

Prior to tennis I completed my BSc (hons) in Sport and Exercise Science from Aberystwyth University, where I was captain of the mens first team for 2 years and chairman of the club in my 3rd year.

I also still love competing in the NPL doubles league over winter and aegon in the spring/summer, and was also part of the Bucks men county team last year for the winter county cup. I'm really excited about getting involved in all aspects of Halton club life - see you on court!

I discovered tennis aged 6 hitting an old ball against the wall at a friends’ house – I never wanted to go back inside! It prompted my tennis-loving mum to book me in for some tennis lessons and I never looked back.

My growing love for the game saw me compete regularly as a junior as part of the ‘Chesham 3 Star’ tennis program that trained on public courts. I broke into the Bucks county squad from the age of 10 (with Jemima!), and remained part of the set-up throughout my teens – often training at Halton. It was fantastic to play in many events all over the country with some of the best national players at the time.

Following a week shadowing my old coach at 16, I gained a huge desire to coach full-time once my junior competing days were over. I completed my level 3 qualification the year after my A-levels in 2001 and began to coach while studying Sports Science at Brighton University. I started coaching full-time in 2004 at Chesham 1879 where I worked with all ages and levels of player – from tots to seniors, including 3 county champions that went on to national level.

Gaining my level 4 in 2007 and my 10u performance qualification in 2012, I became Head Coach at 1879 the same year. At that time I co-founded Challenge Tennis, 1879’s coaching provider that has since gone on to provide comprehensive coaching programs at Great Missenden, Widmer End, Coleshill, and Little Gaddesden, as well as Bucks Indoor Tennis Centre in High Wycombe. As director of CT I was fortunate enough to oversee the production and development of six regional players from 9u-12u. Some of these traveled to the Sanchez Casal Academy in Barcelona with us in 2013 to learn to train in the Spanish system, which is where I went on to gain my RPT Europe coaching qualification.

Since 2009 I've been a Bucks County Coach/Captain firstly with the 9u and 10u age groups, and since 2017 the 10u girls and 12u girls. This has given me the pleasure of working with some of the county’s best ever juniors who have helped give Bucks county team honours before they’ve moved on to play in Tennis Europe and junior ITF events.

Now with nearly 20 years coaching experience under my belt, and having learned from and worked with some of the most respected coaches in the UK, it’s fantastic to be given the opportunity to work alongside such a successful Everyball team at Halton – a club and centre I’ve known so well down the years since my junior days.

As a coach, he enjoys coaching players of any playing standard to help them grow and develop into the best tennis player they can be. He aims to make each session informative and fun as well as matching the session to the needs of the player.

Lee encourages each of his players to start to compete and play the game. During his time as a coach he has coached junior players of county and regional level, helping his players reach and win 8/u, 9/u & 10/u county closed competitions. Most recently he has been made the Bucks 10/u Boys county captain.

I first started playing tennis when I was 5 and I loved it. I always wanted to be on court and this led me to eventually playing tennis 4 times a week! I got into my first county squad in my last year of red ball and then for the next couple of years I managed to stay dedicated and worked my way into the 10u county team, coached by our very own Tom Edis (feeling older Tom?)

I then took a few years off from tennis in my teens due to persistent bouts of Glandular fever and when I was fully recovered I started to play tennis again and also began to be an assistant coach.

Now at 18 I am starting my new role as Club Coach at Halton, and I can't wait to grow as a player/coach and work with all ages from tots to rusties and help others to enjoy tennis as much as I do.

I first started playing tennis when I was 4 years old and have loved it ever since. I think the best part of playing as a junior was County Cup and playing as part of a team and I ended my junior career ranked 19 in GB at 18&U. I have continued to represent Shropshire in their men’s team for the past 10 years and have faced the likes of Roy Knight on a few occasions!

I began coaching when I was 19 at a club in Portugal and then came back to the UK to coach in Shropshire at Ellesmere College. The programme grew quickly, and I spent 6 years coaching all levels of juniors and I became Head of Performance in this, my final year, working with County, National and Junior ITF level players. I have also been working with Tennis Shropshire for 4 years, captaining the U18 boys and the U11/U12 boys which I thoroughly enjoy.

I am currently undertaking my LTA Level 4 Senior Performance Coach qualification and am finding it a great opportunity to learn and develop as a coach. I am very excited to be given the opportunity to be part of the Everyball Team at Halton and can’t wait to start working with everyone in the programme and at the club. I very much look forward to meeting you soon!

I have been playing tennis over 35 years, and coaching for 19 of those years; teaching a wide variety of able-bodied and disabled players from 3-year old beginners to 80-year old timers, across improver, advanced, and county standards.

I have an excellent rapport with both children and adults; I work well with the psychology of each individual student to bring out the best in them. I’m hugely enthusiastic and bring bags of high energy to my sessions and am invested in the coaching process to ensure the best results are gained.

I have run many successful co-ordination, mini-tennis, tennis courses and holiday camps, for children, companies and individuals, and have worked with some fantastic people along the way. My most recent successes have been working with players who made it into the Bucks under-8 county set up, helping Ewan Heyward - a visually-impaired tennis player - to be invited into the Great British Team.

So, if you are looking for passion, drive and hard work... please contact me, as I’m ready!
